Bobby Crudo, Registered Massage Therapist
What is Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy® (SDTT)?SDTT focuses on changing holding patterns in the nervous system that have been learned due to stress, postures and injury. Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy, is a system of manual therapy (which can be vigorous at times) that aims to restore the body back to optimal alignment by addressing deep muscles without the use of high pressure. Layers of adjustments and compensations are worked through in an efficient, effective manner with assessment and treatment being seamlessly integrated. This approach involves addressing a patient’s complaint (pain/dysfunction) in the context of their whole body, thus avoiding “chasing the problem around” and instead, treating the source. By returning a person’s body to optimal alignment, they are returned to a state of healthy efficiency (contracted muscles take up a lot of energy!) and even internal organs are given their proper space to function optimally. Layers of adjustments and accommodations the body has made over time to various postures, activities, injuries and emotional states are worked through. SDTT® addresses not only muscles but also joints, fascia, ligaments, tendons, nerves, circulation, and (indirectly) internal organs. It is common to have a bruise sensation for a few days after SDTT treatment. Keep in mind that your first session will be your baseline – it can only get less painful from there. Healthy tissue doesn’t hurt. Tenderness decreases as tissue health increases, meaning with each session you will feel less discomfort afterwards as you steadily progress to a pain-free life. *Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy® is a Registered Trademark and intellectual property of Armand Ayaltin DNM, RHT, RMT.
My bio:
Bobby Crudo RMT Bobby graduated from the Okanagan College of Massage Therapy in 2003. After taking some post graduate courses, he soon turned his focused To Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy ® (SDTT). Under the tutelage of his mentor and creator of SDTT, Armand Ayaltin, Bobby continues to learn about the intricacies of the human body and assists in teaching post-graduate workshops for other therapists. In his first years as a therapist, Bobby had the opportunity to work abroad in Switzerland. In his two years there, he gained invaluable experience treating professional athletes from a variety of different sports, including hockey players, soccer players, skiers/snow boarders, downhill bike racing (VTT), tennis players, runners and triathletes, and professional dancers. Though the clinic was geared towards athletes, he also treated a variety of people, from kids to the elderly, assisting them with chronic and acute conditions, all while providing general maintenance and injury prevention. Having seen athletes from such a broad variety of sports allowed him to see many different injuries both chronic and acute. Using the philosophy and techniques learned in Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy ® allowed him to achieve excellent results quickly. Having seen the results experienced from his limited knowledge (at the time) in Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy ®, he knew he needed to come back and continue studying under his mentor. Bobby is new to the Duncan area and is accepting new clients. He looks forward to helping you find and maintain your health.
